Some of the boys at thought they would put their football skills to good use when they recently took part in a national five-a-side football tournament. Several play regularly for local clubs, but here they came together, practicing during their lunch breaks on the nearby Harrogate College field, to compete against teams from other companies in the promotional gifts industry. Although rivalry was fierce and everyone was definitely out to win, Great Ormond Street Hospital was the overall winner, with all proceeds going to help this very deserving charity.

Team PG Branding played well in their group, but just lost out to the overall tournament winners. It was great to be able to print our own shirts in-house and as a team building exercise it has been a run-away success! The boys are now looking out for more opportunities to play either in local charity events or regular 5-a-side leagues.

Did your favourite character win an award in the British Soap Awards this week? Although Coronation Street picked up most awards overall, Eastenders picked up Best Soap for the fourth year running. Best Actress was Jessie Wallace (Kat Slater, Eastenders) and Best Actor was Danny Miller (Aaron Livesy, Emmerdale).

Amid all the excitement and behind the scenes work leading up to staging this glittering event, PG Branding, was chosen to supply gifts for the goody bags given to all the guests attending this glamorous evening.

Well, here we are at the start of a new year...everything to look forward and everything to do! Here at PG Branding we are looking forward to another good year for promotional gifts.
